If you allocate a half day (4-5h) to the task, you should have ample time. Diode Dynamics has a video for removing the front of the truck for their fog light installation. Personally, I would watch the combo of Rave Offroad's grille swap video + the DD fog swap video... both gloss over certain things, but different things. So the combo gives you a real sense of what is necessary. It's pretty straightforward comparatively.

summary-wise, you're basically:
Remove air dam
Loosen wheel wells and brake air intakes
disconnect wiring connections
unbolt face
unsnap each fender side
get a second set of hands and pop full truck face off
lay face down on a protected surface
remove parts from backside of face
swap fogs
reverse everything
so the adaptive cruise control (radar) sensors don't need to recalibrated after this process ??

No. because you don't change the sensors, nor the mounting positions. All that is part of the bumper assembly as you remove it. You just have to unplug the wire harness from each (which is a royal pain btw). I had no issues with DCC when using it on two road trips after.

why I ask is that i tried have a set of led fang lights installed & my body guy say he would have to have that sensor recalibrated when he unplugged it . was told it would have to go local toyota dealer 4 that . $700 fee . soo if that is the case , i held off that install as if i want change up my grill i'll do all that together .
BUT I haven't heard of this B 4 on any of the Tacoma forums

I've pulled the front assembly twice now (with a third time expected). So far zero issues or alerts with DCC or parking proximity. I will say though that I have the battery fully disconnected before I unplug and it's all plugged back together before I reenergize the truck. So the system never performed an active or passive "check" while things are unplugged.

thanx , i feel that my auto body is being overly concerned about legal liability as he manly deals with damaged front ends . & did not want to do that install without a calibration to cover his own butt if any issues did arise . I will wait till i find a guy who has added these fang lights b 4 &/or if i upgrade my RS5 grill , thou i really do like the RS5 grill over the higher end models. But i await more options in new aftermarket grills that will come down the pike soon for the 4gen Taco's ....... the Future is Brite breakout the sunglasses !
