For the first time, Ford trucks are more reliable than the Tacoma. So are Ram. So are Chevy.

Not that I care what Edmunds thinks, but I would say their methodology is flawed. Additionally, outside the transmission issues, none of those issues apply to the 2024 model.

Thats the funny part, Edmunds didn't do _any_ reliability testing and admits as much in the article. There is no methodology. They say it themselves, in the article, "according to the latest data from Consumer Reports and RepairPal."

repair pal hasn't had new data since 2019. Consumer reports only shows "predicted" reliability for the 24'. Which means this whole thing is based off of exactly zero objective data points. It's clickbait.

Dont let the title scare you away. It is a little aggressive. But it does touch on everything about the new Tacomas. Reliability, Price, Competition etc. Very well put together.
I seriously am not interested in that topic. It does not apply to me, I don't hate things in general, and the Tacoma in particular.

In addition, I find videos with buyer's remorse trying to justify the purchase boring.

However, I don't understand the aggressive reaction to the Edmunds article aimed at me. It's not I who has made the new Tacoma unreliable.

Ah man you’ve got it all wrong. Set 15 mins aside before you close your eyes tonight and give it a watch. It’ll clear up a lot for you. I’m positive.

Don’t let it get to you. I understand where you’re coming from. Did you know there’s a Maverick forum too ?

why are you even on this forum if you don’t own the truck and aren’t in the market for one? At least post a legitimate substantive link if you’re going to contribute.

I don't like watching bitter guys blaming the world for their mistakes. Really, not my thing.

Did you know there’s a Maverick forum too ?
Yes, but thank you anyway. Why?

Because I seriously considered buying a Limited. Left a deposit and waited for over a year.
Just glad that I didn't.
