What is this panel above your screen- and is there a version for the 14" screens?
That photo is a 3G. We are actually launching a dash mount that goes behind the 14" screen soon here. I'm going to try and use it to mount my radio faceplate. Ill post her when I figure it out.

How do you like that radio? I love the size for a go box or something.
Love it. 20 watts has been pleanty for me, especially with the amount of repeaters in Colorado. Whole radio almost smaller than the handeld I use. Programming is a bit of a chore, but gets better with practice. There is a CPS software that is 3rd party that I would recommend thats way easier than the Radioddity suite: https://www.cpeditor.co.uk/

Our dash mount should be live on the website tomorrow (y)

I used an old modded multimount panel for the faceplate I had from RAM, but a better replacement is on the way.

RAM hardware I'm using will be:
RAMĀ® Double Socket Arm - B Size Short | Part#: RAM-B-201U-A
RAMĀ® Tough-Ballā„¢ with 1/4"-20 x .50" Threaded Stud - B Size | Part#: RAP-B-379U-252050
RAMĀ® Universal Marine Electronic Ball - B Size | Part#: RAM-B-111BU

The top of the radio faceplate is even with the front of my hood, so no blind spot issues.

Haven't verified yet. Have pics of your dash behind the screen?
It looks like it MAY fit but the plastic from my 8" display is definitely different from the plastic you show the 14" display having.

This is a screenshot from your instructions.

Here is a picture of my plastic.

...and what it looks like w/o the plastic.

So, it appears to me the bolts are in the same location and the plate may fit but there might be a gap between the plate and the screen. Hard to say though w/o just trying it.

Also, a thought. It appears to me that the USB charging/data port on the side of the display is most likely fed through the connector shown in the picture below. Rather than providing some generic extension cables with the kit, it would be a much more complete kit if you made a pigtail that plugged in between and used that port. True, it might confuse AA or Carplay if someone plugged in more than one device so testing is needed but if I were going to power USB devices, that's where I'd try to pull the power from initially.

Great post @gofastdan !

You guys will have to forgive my ignorance. Are you suggesting that with the proper connector/pigtail I could power a radio from that connection/port that is shown in one of your picture underneath that plastic part you took off? Or am I still going to have to try and find a way to get a power cable to the battery through the dash somehow?

edit: not a problem as Iā€™ll still have to find a way to get the antenna cable under the dash and through the firewall. Iā€™ll likely be mounting the whole radio body up behind the screen.

Connectors for the new gen Toyotas to make plug and play harnesses have been difficult to come by.

Yeah thatā€™s not surprising. Iā€™m loving this mount idea though. I might just buy one anyway to see if it will work with the 8ā€ screen.

I've been sick at home all day, but when I get back to the shop I'll do some more digging.
