Help with BakFlip MX4 cover installation for 2024 Tacoma TRD Sport

Yes there instructions are awful... You have to snap the clips into the rail then you can tighten down... Plus the clip closest to the front will have to be moved to allow the tonneau clamp room... I used a marker to mark all the clamp locations and snapped them in... Bad instructions...

While I was fighting with the rails again I just happened to shine a flashlight on the outer clip while it was in the rail. I noticed that the inside of the rail had the same profile as the top of the clip. That's when the light bulb went off about people saying that the clip "snaps" in. I removed the clips and rails. Determined where to place the clips along the rail. I took the outer clips, inserted and snapped them into place. Then I put the rail in place and inserted the inner portion of the clip and put the bolt in. As I tightened the bolts you could see the rail move into the perfect position! After I got both on I laid the cover on, opened it up and it fit perfectly and all of the latches latched!!!! They need to mod their instructions!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was a great idea. Better than banging on it with a rubber mallet like I did.
