Hello everyone,

I decided on a TRD Off-Road as I like the ride better over the TRD-Sport. I do however really want the hood scoop look of the Sport. I'm trying to figure out what I am looking at part wise, but can't seem to get it straight.

I can clearly see in parts breakdowns that the two hoods are different part numbers, and the scoop and all are seperate parts as well. However I am coming up with about 6 different hood part numbers, and no way to tell which belongs to what style. Also not sure why there would be six, when as far as I can tell, there are two styles of hood.

Anyone have any insight on this?

I would love that part number as well. If I can't find a trade for a black one by spring, I'm going to order one. Your dealer could probably help. Go on their site and get a VIN from a sport and they should be able to pull up the part number and order for you.

Following this thread. I would like a scooped hood for my 25 SR5 in underground.

I wrote down the vin number for a Sport in Solar Octane 2024. Hoping all those parts will fit a PreRunner.

Wow - so much love for the scoop! I have heard mostly negative comments about them.

But that scoop is one of my favorite parts of my truck. It gives the 4th gen front a better, in charge appearance IMO.

I hope you can find the part numbers and that they are not crazy expensive. It also seems like trades might be out there, because so many people have said that they don't like their scoops.

I feel like you'd have to be staring at the hood and not the road to notice the shake in my case, I've barely noticed a budge

In my truck it isn't even a shake - just a slight tremble, and I never see it unless I look for it, which is about twice since I owned the truck. Someone would really be reaching to think that this is a problem worth worrying about. I read a Land Rover review of a truck that cost almost $100k and its hood had some movement too. These are trucks, not freaking BMWs.

Some people also get their panties in a twist because it is fake - just like every Tacoma hood scoop in history. I like good looking trucks, and that scoop makes the Sport and Pro look better than every other trim IMO.

I found this website where you can buy the hood, and they paint it the same color as your truck. I haven’t decided yet—I’m still hoping to find a hood for sale in the same color as my truck...
