I just installed these lights on my truck.
I used a 6" long 1/4" extension with the T20 bit to remove the screws. On the passenger side, I removed the speaker to access the screw on the bumper cap.
Removing the park aid sensors helped with access to the screws.

The harness (short) is plug and play. The connectors at the lights had to be crimped and the splice connectors heat shrunk.

I find that the lights are too bright with the park lights on. I'll rewire for them to come on with the brake lights.
The red halos were too bright? Or did you have the white lights wired to be on all the time?

That’s a bummer - they should match the factory lights in brightness and color.

Says for off road use only.
The look like fog lights on the European cars.

Amber might peak the interest of law enforcement.

Agreed - probably not worth the hassle. Can you see the red halos when off or does it all look clear / white? There’s also an all white version of this light… thinking of dumbing it down to just an Aux switched light only.

I didn’t find the halos to be too bright, but they are definitely brighter than the factory lights. I’m alright with that. If someone gets irritated by them and backs off, less chance I’ll have to total the truck for them tapping my tow hitch.
Anyway, for those with a hybrid- there is a little speaker pick that blocks access to the passenger side light. It is easily removed, I clip the two wire connector and then it’s one 10mm bolt accessible on the bumper side of the mounting bracket.

View rearward, you can just barely see the light hiding behind the speaker puck.

Looking directly up, bumper to the left, here is the one bolt that lets you remove the speaker.

did you splice into the rear break lights or how did you wire them up?
Yes, I tapped (with a very good solder job) to the brake light feed on the 7 pin trailer harness.
