Integrated bed scene lighting with a cap?

first off I have a 24 off-road with integrated bed scene lighting. I initially wanted a smart cap but may have to settle for an ARE. Does anyone know if you can buy an ARE cap on the bed when it has the bed scene lighting? As much as I would love to keep functionality of the lights, I think the ARE cap would cover them? Aside from covering them is there any reason why the cap wouldn’t fit right? Is that trim piece with the lights compatible with a cap?

I have a GFC topper on top of my scene lighting. Aside from the topper slightly buckling the scene lighting rail, it does not block or affect them. Any other topper will be similar. They all clamp from the inside, and I can't think of any that hang below the edge of the bed rail.

I think the ARE and the Leer overhang the rail. The smart cap, gfc and Westin all sit on top it looks like.

Interesting. I had an ARE commercial on my previous tacoma and it did not. I guess they have changed.

If you are talking about the lights inside the bed of some trim levels, the Smartcap doesn't cover them.

Most all fiberglass caps have what they call skirted sides meaning they overhang the bed sides. It's for styling and keeping the weather out. My rail caps aren't visible at all with the LEER cap on. The steel or aluminum ones sit on top of the rails.

I have an RSI SmartCap on my Trailhunter...not a problem.

I get it, but a Smartcap won't cover them. It sits on top of the bed.

@lbrasseur Here is a picture stolen from an owner from the 4th gen facebook group. An ARE cap will cover the bed scene lights:

I had a different model ARE cap on my 2.5 gen and it also covered the bed rail caps. I'm assuming their line-up will all cover the rail caps.

I am talking about the lights on top of the bed trim that face out of the bed.
