Just picked up a new bronze oxide off road hybrid. It has the base level cloth seats.
The dealer is about an hour away from home on the interstate. During the drive home, the angle of the headrest really started to annoy me. It was forcing my neck downward. This was not something I noticed during the pre-purchase 15-minute test drive around town. I have tried moving it vertically, which does not help.
Upon closer inspection, the angle of the headrest is radically different than my 2007 Tacoma and my 2017 Highlander.
Has anybody come up with a way to make the factory head rest tilt back ?
It is so annoying that I am about to take one of the Highlander headrests and try it in the new Tacoma. The distance between the headrest posts is the same. If that works, I may pull a set out of a junk yard and have them re-covered.
FWIW, the 2007 Tacoma headrest posts are a different width.
