Wonderful list, many of which is why we have purchased the gen 4. After owning 3 weeks the trans went out and it will only take 3 months to get new one. So for the time being I will have to live vicariously through ya'll

Once the dealer determined it was internal Toyota would not allow the trans to be opened and put me on the waitlist for a new trans. I wish I had more info as to the exact problem

That's BS... you would think they'd reallocate you a new truck and take yours back for some in-depth analysis of what went wrong, no?

Sounds like they don't want to fry that fish, maybe they got their hands full with the Tundras 🤣. PS, is that DP your Tacoma or a photo you found? Those grille badges look amazing and I kinda want them myself 😝

A little photoshop I did. I do have that badge sitting on my desk, though. Got it on Amazon in like August, when I placed a deposit on my truck. Still waiting on my truck.

Yeah, I would keep reminding them that "I'm still paying for a truck not in my possession." What kind of loaner are you driving?

Great list! Don't you just love the critics who will look at this list and say yeah great but still too expensive. Do people really expect this truck not to cost more than it's 3rd gen counterpart?

When people go there I just say well keep what you have then. Was looking at a youtube the other day and people were raving about a 65k Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison but the 54k Tacoma off road in the video was too damn much money even though it completed the course just fine. When I pressed him on it he said he wasn't getting it, but could pay cash if he wanted to...

Little heads up, I bought similar ones on the CAD Amazon site, can confirm it does not fit correctly on the TRD Sport grille, not sure if the same will go for the pro and trailhunter. Disappointing but all I need to do is create a longer backplate and it should do the job just fine, looks like I'd have to pop the grille trim out though in order to even access it to screw it in lmao. All that work for a little badge idk, looks like it'll fit perfectly in the hood scoop of the grille part though, that may look okay 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s funny you should say that. I watched a video yesterday where a guy zoomed in on the grille and I thought, “hmm that doesn’t look like it’s gonna fit the badge”. The openings on the TH and Pro grille are much bigger than the other trims…

Yeah it's unfortunate man because they'd look amazing, I got the white to black mountains and 3 squares for my white sport. If you got a strip of metal and attached it to the Backplate it comes with it should clamp it's self on well enough to not shift around but the grille is a weird shape as well which may cause the badge to shift. Where there's a will there's a way and I'm sure to find it lol

Are you eligible for that lemon law buyback program? If it was me, I'd get my money back, then wait till next year and see if there are any other major problems with the 2024 Tacoma. No way do I want a brand new truck that has just had major surgery performed on it. I'd always be thinking........"this thing is cursed!"
