I have booked a Green Tour at Merus AP for April fifth. The green tour is the easy one. I've done this once before and it's a blast! You drop down into Palo DURO Canyon and stop at various points of interest. Anyone want to come along?

It's coastal plains here, virtually zero elevation changes around me. Where you are going looks awesome!

We booked the tour in February, drove 500 miles to Canyon on the second of April and on the third we get a phone call. The caller said, "We don't have a guide from your tour so the tour is cancelled" Thirty six hours notice, not much notice considering the distance involved.
No apology, no effort to keep as customers, just tour is cancelled!

I just came back from Merus... did half of the green trails and loved it. I tried the blue test course and was scraping my side steps like crazy.. was already on the books to get a proper slider but I haven't found one I like. Anyways I highly recommend this place. With OnX it's hard to get lost, I don't really think a tour is needed. I would love to go back for a camping trip. I did do a trip report if you want to check it out:
