Got my first Tacoma back in July and am looking to get a topper before the weather starts warming up again. I've been eyeing a handful of topper designs, but can't seem to find many mid-high versions for the 4th gen yet. I think LEER has one, but it doesn't have the windoors. Ideal use case is both camping (can open windows for ventilation) as well as usability (can open a side window and get gear close to cab).

Then I suppose the most basic question is whether or not to get a mid-high or just a cab-high topper. Curious to hear folks opinions and experiences on the matter.

I finally received my Leer 180. Pretty happy with it, only issue I've noted is the bottom side edges seem the flare out just a bit in center (cosmetic).
I have Decked drawer in the bed so the Mid-Height is necessary to be able to have decent room above the Drawer for capacity or to sleep in there

My LEER looks the same, as do all the pics I've seen of them on 4th gens. Some of the A.R.E. caps look similar, only they are less noticeable.
I am wondering now if I put a straight edge along the cap would it be true? Is it actually bowed out or is it an illusion created by the body lines of the truck? Maybe a combination of both most likely.

Would love to see more pics if you could post them here or if there's another thread. Looks pretty nice, but agreed that the flare is not ideal - I don't think I've noticed that on other toppers yet.

Hey man. I have this same set up minus the topper. Can I see more of the side flaring as well as the inside with the tailgate down?

Agree with ForestMoon that the flare out might be partially an illusion of the Truck body line... but looking up from wheel level into bottom of shell sides, there definitely
is a larger gap in center vs forwards or back. ,
Here are the pictures requested (that loose mattress towards fron is a tri-fold that fits nicely)
