I have some questions, and I am hoping you all can help.

1) What size fuses are in the 4th gen? I need to buy the right fuse taps so I can hardwire my dash cam. Will also need some extra fuses.

2) On that same topic, does anyone know the best specific fuses to tap into? I remember in my Genesis, I tapped into two but can’t remember what they were for.

3) I had to leave the dealer without them setting up my app and without going through all the settings. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to change my HUD height and settings! Anyone know?

Thanks in advance.

I would love to! Except my dash cam doesn’t have a USB connector. It has the yellow, red and ground wires. Any ideas on that? Thanks!

Buy a new dashcam - they’re cheap.

HUD settings are on the MID.

pay attention to the words under the screen. Some say to click vs hold. Go to the HUD option and hold instead of click. That will bring up options. You can then move the bud uo and down and increase/decrease brightness.

a lot of settings are hidden behind long holds on the OK button.

OBDll connection, no tapping, no cutting, no fuses.
I just had a Thinkware U3000 two channel installed by Best Buy. Thinkware is one of the highest rated 4K dash cams and the U3000 comes with the OBDll connection. Had a Thinkware U1000 in my previous vehicle with OBDll connection, great way to go and miles ahead better than the Toyota OEM dashcam which isn’t even 4K

I read you can’t use a fuse tap because the cover won’t go back in the fuse box. I used the Donger. It might be better to upgrade your camera for a cleaner look. IMO.
