Hi, All
I just bought this Gen 4 a little over a week ago and I'm still getting used to it. I traded my 2020 SR5 Dbl Cab in on it. It's the first 4X4 I've owned and so far, I like the way it drives but I'm a little disappointed in the gas mileage compared to the SR5. The multi-info system is much more complicated than the older ones but members have been kind to help me with my questions. There is also a learning curve for the MID and switches.

So far I've added TRD running boards (dealer-installed), a Rough Country Tri-fold hard tonneau cover (which my son helped me install), all-weather TRD floor mats, center console and glove box organizers, and Cali Raised LED 14" Dashmount and Mag-safe phone holders.

As for me, I'm an old fart, retired after 20 years in the US Army, and retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding after about 20 years off and on, in Pascagoula, MS. Now I'm retired Retired. I Like to read, computers, Classic Cars and Classic Rock and Country Music. I don't care for the alleged new Rock, Country, and especially not Rap.

Welcome. The mpg's on my '24 are less than my '19's as well. BUT the extra size and features are a good trade off. Congratulations on the new rig.

Thank you. I do like the larger size, too!

I average about 23 miles per gallon in town and I’m about 10 miles away from my job from my work compared to a jeep 14 miles lol and I also use 93 octane premium. Gas helps a little in my opinion.

I'm only on my 2nd tank of gas and average 19.3 MPG combined in ECO mode.

This is my first full tank. I just recently started using 93 only because of my brother who he just recently got a limited Tacoma so we needed to put that in our tank for our engines due to the turbo. I’ve noticed a difference and I also have ECO mode on 👍🏽 forgot to add that earlier

Welcome! I came from a 2019 and the Tacoma keeps getter better with every generation.

I have owned a lot of a Toyota trucks over the years. A 1982 4WD long bed, a 1988 truck, a 2005 Tacoma, a 2019 Pro and now a 2024 Tacoma TRD OR.

Yeah, I’ve always loved the tundras that Toyota makes and was actually looking into getting a tundra but nothing wrong. It’s just too much truck for me. I’m not gonna haul that much. The Tacoma for me felt great and plus it also fit better in the garage lol

I'm with you on the Tundra. They are very nice, but too much truck for me. My son-in-law has one and it is huuuuuge compared to the Taco.

I might try a tank of the 93 next fill-up to see if I see a difference. There is a cost vs mileage factor to consider.
