About your axle dump exhaust, did you notice any lag or sluggishness in the engine? I have the same engine (non hybrid) and want this too. Just making sure deleting that last resonator thing doesn’t affect the turbo or anything. Thanks!!

No lag or sluggishness what so ever. Only thing that changed is the tone got slightly louder but it's barely noticeable.

I liked the look. When I first went after it I thought it might look over done but it adds a nice noticeable touch to the rear of the truck. BTW loving that TRD Pro that your driving.

If you run your hand along the bottom of the frame just before where the plastic part of the bumper curves down you will feel a hole. The brackets I bought came with d rings but they fit around the frame perfectly. I think any of the front d ring brackets for the 3rd Gen will work tho. Can't remeber what size bolts/nuts I used but I know they were grade 8. You just need a ratcheting wrench long enough to fit and run down the inside of the frame rail to tighten them down. I think mine where 9/16 or 1/2. It's a good alternative to 200-300 dollars for the recovery points.

Thank you again for the info. I installed the brackets on the rear today with 1/2 inch grade 8 bolts. They fit perfectly and it was an easy install. Amazing that you figured out this work-around to attach these brackets to the Gen 4. I can’t believe the manufacturer is not marketing them to Gen 4 owners. I jokingly thought about buying them up for $30 and rebranding to Gen 4 owners for $60 which would still be less than half of other brackets LOL. Thanks again!!!

Yes, Tacos and 4Runners are extremely popular in HI. During my last visit to the Big Island I actually caught a couple of owners in parking lots and asked why they are so popular.

Both owners stated because Toyotas rarely break, they don't fall apart after 100k miles and repairs and parts are reasonable.
