Hi, I’m new to all these forum type places but I’ve been wanting to get into a community for a long time since I don’t have many people local it seems. So I decided to make an account here and get started.
I bought my 4th gen used at the beginning of September, so while I haven’t had it long I’ve put about 2k miles on it and been making it work for me. I love it, first truck purchase and technically first vehicle purchase for me. My profile pic is of my truck, only thing different from the pic to now is I have running boards (rough country brand). Looking forward to being able to add my own insights where I can around here.
I thought I'd update this to fill out some more information about the truck and I. The running boards are the BA2's from Rough Country, love how they look and were extremely easy to put on. The previous owner put a new exhaust on it, couldn't tell you what brand but it does have more throat to it than standard so that's a plus. This wasn't the perfect Taco for me, but made it for being the most useable financially easy to handle than a brand new specked out version. It is 2 wheel drive so hopefully I can find one in an accident and get it transferred to 4wd but it's not a deal breaker for me if it stays a 2wd.
Previous vehicle was a '24 Camry and I did not like the thing, way too small and close to the ground for my liking. Before the Camry I had an '05 Sequoia SR5 that was a great truck had it not started to die on me and required quite a bit of work at the end.
