Hahaha you'd think so, but the last time I actually woke a sleeping momma and two cubs about six feet from my bumper. I came running down to the truck before sunrise and we all scared the living shit out of each other! I have video from that summer of them in my backyard, her leaning against a tree breastfeeding them, the cubs playing on my lounge chairs and climbing trees. The cubs are so funny to watch!

Well I ordered the SPV kit, now I just need to figure out how to make them fire when I unlock. I'm going to try and get a picture of the bed scene lighting switch to send to @SPV Parts, they're clearly on top of their game and willing to work with us to achieve our lighting goals. Ideally I'd like these to fire with reverse, fire with a switch whether it's the bed scene or an aux, and the only one not currently implemented as far as I can tell is fire with unlock.
Thanks to all!

Yeah, let us know on that switch.

Chances are this was answered already;
1. Looking to confirm they come on when in reverse (if AUX switch is on)
2. Are these able to be powered on, without being in reverse, special harness?

Yes to all if you wire them that way. I have the ability to use them as backup lights, reverse lights and scene lights (switched). There are options as to how you wire them in that control how many things they will do.

Thank you John from @SPV Parts for offering me a 10% discount on these lights to help soften the blow of what it costs to modify stuff here in Canada, can't wait to get these installed

I installed an ARB rear bumper on my truck yesterday. There is one unused connector on the passenger side. Guessing it mates to an accessory like lights. Does the kit in this thread connect directly to this connector? If not, anyone know what it is for?

Is that just one of the 3 aux switches ?
No, that is on the truck driver side. This is part of the ARB bumper with the new harness (Rather than reuse stock).

Good thought as I wasn't descriptive enough

I bought my Rigid lights from SPV (ask for John). They have a plug and play option and mine are used as extra taillights at night-RED-and when in reverse, they are bright WHITE. The harness with adapter is plugged in the back of the left taillight, did not want to use rear AUX plug, and did not use Toyota pigtail. Talk to John he will send you what you need if you ask.

The passenger side in the bumper is very difficult to install especially if you have fat fingers like me. The two little screws that hold the blank plates in place are reused for the lights

Do you also think it’s much brighter than the taillights? Looks similar in this photo

In the dark of night on the road I think the Rigids are a little brighter and it is because the Rigid red is a shade darker than the Toyota red. I am going to buy some Lasfit bulbs and see what happens.

I'll try and crawl under my truck later this afternoon and see if I can see the plug you posted
