OEM Bed Extender...how to install brackets and do straps release from power tailgate?

I am looking at the OEM bed extender. Does anyone have mounting bracket installation instructions? Also, the straps that attach to the tailgate latches...do they work with a power tailgate?

I bought a bed extender today and wondering how to lock the straps with powerlock. Did you figure it out?
