I’m in the process of getting quotes to install the Westcott preload collar lift kit, new wheels, tires and an alignment on my 25 Tacoma Off Road hybrid. First quote I got was for $1450. Anybody have any idea what something like this should cost? I literally have no idea. Any info is greatly appreciated.

FWIW, here's the verbatim quote from my shop for the Trailhunter Preload Collar Lift.

"I would charge 4 hours of labor, $520. I would also charge an additional $140 for an alignment."

Note that this doesn't include new wheels and tires (yet!).

Just the lift or does it include wheels, tires and alignment?
This included installing the lift and installing the already mounted/balanced wheels on the truck. The alignment cost me another $100 at a different shop.

Call Westcott Google their number and ask them how much they charge get a quote from them and you pretty much have your fair quote there. When I was deciding on a roof rack and thinking about lifting my truck I called them several times. Honestly unless you’re going with 35” tires you don’t need a lift. You can put 33” on there with a good pole with no mods. The preload coller lift in my opinion will give you a rougher ride. In a couple months bilstein will drop their new stage one suspension with an adjustable lift of up to 3” installed for under 2k$ Save your money for that. You can always put on 35” and remove the panel by the fender flares and make that work.
Now for the quote I’d say the guy who said about 1540 was about spot on for the lift and your tires and rims will fluctuate I’d say you’ll land about 3500 for rims and tires that’s about middle of the road. Hope this helps thanks
