Ratting sounds

Hearing a loud ratting sound when engaging park or reverse, and sometimes I hear it in park. It stays for 10 seconds or so then fades. Anyone hearing this too on your taco?

It's the direct+port injection, and yes it's normal. At low torque situations the engine uses both port and direct injection. The port injection is loud. As you put more torque to the engine, the direct injection is by itself and the noise calms down. It almost sounds like a diesel when it's at low load.

I think you’re right here. Thanks for the info! Is this expected even with no load? E.g. just shifting into drive with no throttle? That’s how it was in the clip I shared.
