Just curious what you guys have done to prevent or minimize rear end sagging or squatting with a load on the back of the truck (Bed Rack, Equipment, Overland Gear etc.). What modifications or improvements to the rear end or suspension have you done? I added about 600lbs of weight to my truck and noticed a significant sag. 2024 Tacoma Off Road - iMax Hybrid.

Thanks!

I used some Airlift air bags I had for my Fj laying around, and they did the trick for a while. Once I get the truck back from getting the Alucab and some other work done, I will put some Dobinson springs in the rear. Those are what I have used in my Fj, and they are a very good spring.

Here's my thread on the topic. Lots of good info. Post 52 is a good recap of the different Dobinsons options.

There's also this thread where he installs Old Man Emu springs.

If you're just carrying weight or towing on a sporadic basis then something like air bags might make sense but if the weight is constant then I'd just do the springs and be done with it...

The stock rear bumpstops are worthless so I've also installed Timbren stops, but with the Dobinsons springs I don't think I'm hitting them very often. Still, they provide a bit of insurance for the really big hits.
