Shifting an Automatic

I have looked in the manual but I can't seem to get the automatic shift into the "S" positions to control the engine.
I am used to just putting it in drive and pulling it over. I'm afraid to force it.

Is there a magic switch?

Yep….but I was messing with the switches in the panel around the switches last weekend. After your response, I went out & lifted the panel up & put it back on & well….what do you know it worked!!
