SR5 largest spare tire?

I just purchased some Icon 17x8.5 +25's and am torn on what tires to go with.

Im considering 275/70r17's as I can put a 255/75r17 (basically the same diameter) in the spare area and it wont hang down as far.

285/70r17s would be the ideal wheel for the truck, however that tire looks huge in the spare location, and I dont know if there are any skinnier options that are the same diameter..

What did you all do for a spare after you went with larger tires?

No personal experience, but I saw someone post a 255/80R17 as an option for the spare, when running 285/70R17. the 255 is .4" taller than the 285, but fits better in the spare tire location.

Interesting, Ill look into this. I was under the impression that a 285/70r17 just barely fit (height wise), so I assumed anything taller wouldnt fit.
