Strange icon on digital rear view mirror

Help me out…I’ve checked online and in the manual and cannot find out what this icon is on my digital rear view mirror. It’s not listed any where that I have searched.

With this setting ON, if the digital rear view mirror thinks something say, a garage door or a towel, is blocking its way it automagically switches to optical mode. Call it "Auto optical" if you will.

Just picked up my new TRD Sport with the premium package on Saturday and have been trying to find out what that little star icon is on the digital rear view mirror also. Driving me nuts that it's nowhere to be found in any of the manuals.

Like Huntsman showed in his picture, it's definitely a mistake/omission in the Tacoma manual.

Started thinking they have to have the same thing in another Toyota and sure enough, I found this on the Prius forum out of the Prius manual.

So basically, there are two separate auto dimming settings. The sun with the A is for the regular optical mirror auto dimming, and the star looking thing is auto dimming for the digital mirror.

You would think there's only one setting that would apply to both, since I don't know why you'd want your regular mirror to dim but not the digital.

Anyway, wanted to put this here for the future since I'm sure there will be other new owners looking for an answer.
