Tailgate anti-theft lock

A friend of mine had the tailgate stolen from his gen 3 while he was at work. I know my tailgate locks but was thinking of adding a bit more and was looking at Bobbercycle bracket. Has anyone use this product or any other lock?

For me–where I live–it would be a waste of money.

For your situation, the $60 might be worth the peace of mind. Maybe I missed it, but I'm surprised they didn't use security torx heads and include a bit for installation.

I just use a worm hose clamp on the side hinge that you can lift off, just point the screw side down. If anything it makes it more difficult to just lift off the tailgate.
