Toyota App to remote start engine - not working

I noticed last night that my phone would not link to my Tacoma.
Then this morning my truck would not start using the Toyota app.
Any ideas on what going on? Maybe a phone issue? Or Toyota app issue?

I've had issues in the past. Depending on what is causing them, there are a few things you can try that I've seen work for other people:

1. Reboot phone / update app
2. Reinstall the app
3. Remove and re-install your profile from your truck. There are plenty of youtube videos that can guide you through this process. Research first though, and make sure you follow the right steps

My issue ended up being the back sliding window sensor was broken, so the car thought the window was open - all windows closed (and doors locked) is a requirement for remote start.

Thanks, my doors were "unlocked" so probably the issue.
While we're on the subject, is there a way to have the heated seats come on when remote starting?
I have them on when I park the truck for the night but they aren't on when I remote start.

Noticed the same. I wonder if some ‘weight’ is required to be on the seat? My wife (passenger seat) went into a store while I remained in the truck. (Hybrid running) Her seat while still ‘on’ cooled off but started heating up when she got back in the vehicle.

Not that I'm aware of. Mine never come on when remote starting, but the steering wheel does come on if I leave it on when I shut down
