Hi everyone, I'm fairly new here. I just purchased a Warn EVO 12s and CBI Covert bumper for my Trailhunter but I have no clue how to run the power cables all the way back to the battery that's under the back seat. I have seen a few threads here where people have a winch wired up to a battery under the hood, like on the off-road models, but nobody has posted picture with an explanation as to how they ran the wires on a Trailhunter (at least I haven't found a thread on it yet).

Can someone point me to a thread (if it exists) with pictures and an explanation of how I can wire this up please? I'm ready to get the party started lol. Thanks in advance for any help or links!! 🙏

I don't think we are suppose to post links to other forums so I messaged you. I've bought 2/0 wire, 25ft of each, and the appropriate crimp lugs. I'm waiting on Victory 4x4 to release their bumper, otherwise I would have probably already done this. I've haven't decided on a battery isolator yet. My winch came with a manual one, but I'll probably get one that can be hooked up to a switch. The gauge of wire seems like everyone has an opinion, but nothing definitive. Not having the battery under the hood really muddies the waters on gauge.

Most winches come with 2-gauge because even if the winch can theoretically draw 400 amps, it won't be able to do it long enough to smoke 7' of 2-gauge wire. I think Warns 24' extension is even 2GA?

I think my plan is like yours, to run 2/0 on my Pro. I may run it under the hood to a distribution block and run the winch and whatever else off that, but not sure yet.

I would for sure put a disconnect near your winch, though. It makes it really easy if you ever have to pull the bumper for anything.

The distribution block is something else I was thinking, this one on Amazon seems beefy enough. Along with this battery isolator.

That looks good, may want to figure out a rubber cover so any dropped tools can't short out on the lugs sticking out.
