Trailhunter QC Holds — multiple regions

I hope this isn't true. I noticed my Trailhunter had eta dates in July but now it says vehicle may be in transit.

So here's the screenshot from my dealer about the QC hold. I will keep everyone up to date. The truck was supposed to be at the dealer within the next 1 - 3 weeks and I'm really hoping it doesn't push very far out. I would be concerned though that if it does quite a few others could be affected and likely those yet to be produced.

I am hopeful and praying to the Toyota gods that this is something small and will not have a big impact on allocation timing. I'm on 3 lists now and have 2 allocations, one of which is already built and *was in transit to the dealer and the other is slotted to be built ~07/15. The 3rd is a local dealer that I put a deposit down on 06/02/23 and still has no signs of an allocation and I am #4 on the list out of ~30+. The local dealer is the largest in CO and as of a week or two ago had only received 1 allocation.

ETA, some time in August. I put a deposit on it last August 19th... it's been a long wait.

I'm assuming your dealer had zero additional information? When you say eta sometime in August, was that based on the original expected delivery (pre-QC hold)?

It will be worth it, I haver no doubt. Just super painful to wait this long. I'm in the same boat. Deposit since last June, but the one I ended finding was a different one out of state that had already been built.

My guy at Toyota didn't have anything new to add that we don't already know from these forums, other than to tell me his Highlander has also been on QC hold lol

He said "probably a month" but he'd call me every Friday with an update, and he was hopeful it would be quicker than a month.

His "probably a month" I'm assuming is a shot in the dark guess. I'll text my dealer and let you know if he has anything knew to add or additional info. I know it says check back every Friday on the screenshot you and I both have, I just wonder if they have any other back channel way of getting any info from someone in Toyota.

The top of the pipeline page says "vehicle delayed for 30 days". I truly hope this isn't the case. If there's an actual issue with these trucks, then I'd rather wait. But it's so hard when we've waited so long to get them.

Listen, I agree... I'd rather they fix an issue NOW, while I still have my trade-in, than to take delivery and either wait a month on a part, or worse, be unable to drive it because of a safety issue. I don't want the headache of a loaner or rental...

But I want my truck now, please.

100% with you! Toyota needs to be more transparent with deliveries. I've been waiting since November, and I'm getting impatient. I was excited when the ETA popped up and I thought I'd have it within the next couple of weeks. So this was a pretty big letdown. Hopefully it's a small issue that gets sorted quick. If not, we should all take a trip to Laredo and see what's up

Talked to my dealer. He said that a 30 day hold typically means its a minor issue and they usually get it resolved in under 30 days. If it were say a 90 day QC hold it would mean that it's a bigger issue.
