So my Trailhunter throws a window open message at me every time I open a door or turn it off- it apparently thinks one of the windows is open. i suspect this is caused by either a discreet sensor, or a position sensor on the drive motor- where should I start for a diagnosis? I'd like to at least narrow it down to a single window before I haul it over to the dealer.

Interesting, I get the same exact message. I haven't figured which window it is or if it's programmatically wrong (confusing window for a door somehow).

Coincidently, my remote-start through the app and from the key fob stopped working a few weeks ago as well. One of the conditions for remote-start to work is that all windows need to be closed. I'm wondering if a bad sensor could be causing the message we are both seeing and preventing the remote-start from working.

Does your remote-start work?

I've diagnosed the remote-start a million different ways and talked to Toyota connected services for hours to no avail. Appt with Toyota service next week...

I don't use the remote start, and deleted the app months ago. I suspect it won't however, for the reason you pointed out.
