Greetings fellow taco fans. I am waiting on the TRD Sport 2WD, automatic in Supersonic Red, with high end upgrades. I am seeing videos with a black hood scoop and others with a paint matched scoop. Does anyone know for sure how it will look?

Black hood scoop is only for the TRD Pro. TRD Sport comes with paint matched hood scoop and fenders.

Wondering if anybody will take it off and swap one out?

3 nuts I can see under the hood...

I am considering taking off my scoop and plastic-diping it. It removes easily enuff
Have you actually removed it? I attempted to but mine seemed to have some type of adhesive tape in addition to the studs with nuts on the underside of the hood so I stopped. I’m sure with a heat gun, the adhesive would release but I didn’t want to go that far.

I have a question, I would like to paint my fender flares black and my hood scoop too. How much did it cost you to get that painted? And what kind of paint did they use? Thank you
We painted them here at the shop. Used automotive urethane paint with flattening agent. If you don't want to get that involved, you could try plastidip.

Did you remove it for painting? If so, did it have adhesive in addition to the studs with nuts on the underside?
