@JBSwine and @TalkingTaco444 I finally got the dealer to confirm the TRD Sport Upgrade Package does have heated seats after 4 phone calls this morning. Toyota really put them in a tough spot.

Maybe. But were they using all the tools they had or just going out to the consumer site and saying "well it doesn't say it, so it must not have it" even though the build guides show it. And how did they finally verify it does include it? Most dealership people are completely uneducated about the products they sell.

They were doing exactly that... looking on the website. "Well if it doesn't say it has it, it won't have the heated seats." I basically had to argue with the person that it just doesn't make sense and then coach what to say to the management.

"Ask them why the spec sheet on the Toyota website says it has heated seats? Is there someone at Toyota you can contact? They must have heard about this issue."

"Well, I wouldn't trust that site. I would trust the information we have access to at the dealership."

The person said they contacted the Toyota rep to clear it up. And added that people were going crazy about it online. Um, because it is one of the most common options people want.

I feel like I should get part of the commission.

It is also a two second change to make on their site. Zero idea how it hasnt been fixed by now.

Look at this video: https://www.tacoma4g.com/forum/thre...sport-dealer-walkthrough-toyota-of-kent.1947/

compare the window sticker shown and the interior buttons. No heated on the window sticker , but there is a button.

It would be a huge miss for them not to include heated seats on a $50k truck. That’s one of the features that i wouldnt even consider a vehicle if it didn’t have heated seats, and I live in Texas! My guess is that they are included in the upgrade package and the configurator is wrong.
I'm in upstate NY, I don't use the heated seats on my RAV4 Prime Premium. I wouldn't care, I would just look at it as something that might help resale, I just hate that it seems you have to get those SofTex aka vinyl seats with it too? That's the one thing I would refuse to get in another vehicle, they're awful.

you can get cloth seats that are heated. You only have to do the softex seats if you want ventilated seats as well.

Is the Softex same in all Toyota vehicles?

My Softex experience is limited to a ‘22 Tundra SR5 and ‘23 Tundra TRD Pro. We went out of our way to find a Tacoma with Softex due to our experience. We’ve been very impressed with the quality, comfort, and durability in the Tundra. Hoping for same material in ‘24 Tacoma.
