So I have a TRD Sport Premium package. It came with 18" wheels and 265/65r18 tires.
I wanted bronze wheels but I didn't really like the method ones so I ordered the Trailhunter wheels while they are on sale. Sticking with 18". What size tire should I get that is slightly bigger and more aggressive but not destroying ride quality. Currently my top two options are.
Falken Rubitrek 265/70r18
Toyo Open Country AT3 265/70r18

These seem to be the biggest without getting into LT tires. The toyo are more expensive but weigh 3.5lbs less per tire.

So I went through this exercise and went with LT 275/70/18 Falken Wildpeak AT4Ws. Amazing all around, but ride a little hard as they are E loads. But I want more diameter and sidewall. Hard to get over 33” unless you go LT (most non-LT cap out at 32.6” and to me that’s significantly smaller despite it being less than an inch - especially on 18s where the sidewall is limited to begin with). One option, though, are the General Grabber ATXs - they make a 275/70/18 in SL but reviews are mixed.

If you’re OK being around 32.5 or so which are still larger than what you have on now, get the AT4W in SL and skip the Rubitreks. Same weight and a better tire. Also look at the Mickey Thompsons and the Duratrac RTs.

If I wanted an SL around that size I’d go AT4 or these (275/65/18):

Yea I was looking into LT tires but to go up to those sizes is 14lbs more weight per wheel which is crazy high. I am sure they are better off road and look better as well though.

I think you’re being reasonable and practical. Check out my updated post above.

The AT4W also comes in a 285/60/18 I think that’s about that same diameter - tons of options under 33”.

I have a 2025 Sport Prem on order and this is the tire size I plan to get. I also do not want 10 ply tires...it will kill the ride and mileage. From what I gathered online...BFG will be releasing SL rated tire sizes in the K03 line in mid-late 2025

Yeh, i have same Truck and would like a tire looks a little more aggressive with not a-lot of extra weight and big change in ride. Good question.

Have you looked at the nitro Terra grapplers yet? I bought the 18” black trd wheels for mine and have been considering them
