To date, no info/pricing on the hybrid and TRD Pro grades. Any idea when they will be forthcoming? Not sure the hybrid will be cost effective, but would like to have that option. My service rep reports no issues with the Tundra hybrid, and it seems I noticed the MG in the Tacoma will be identical. However, admittedly not the same engine or tranny.

Pricing for the Hybrids will come out this spring.

The 245 hp 2.5 liter AWD hybrid in the grand highlander gets 34 mpg. Some of us don't need "MAX" power and torque. They should offer this as an option in the Tacoma. It doesn't make sense to trade our full size V8 Ram for the hybrid Tacoma if it only gets slightly better mileage but at 34 MPG it would make sense.

We have a Maverick, driven by my daughter. We paid $25K and it gets 42MPG but its not a good replacement for our full size. The bed it tiny.

As noted by Independence Overland, the system in the Highlander is markedly different than in the Tacoma, the former for economy, the latter for a power boost.
