This issue was obviously discovered months ago. They had to verify the issue, determine where it was happening and how, implement a fix to the production line, and then announce it. Notice it doesn't impact the 2024 models. The big question is how they will respond to it. If handled correctly, this will blow over, and we can move on. How much are we hearing about the frame recall these days?

I'm not concerned about any contagion to the Tacoma production line.

Main reason why tacoma holds their value or any other toyota vehicle is that toyota doesnt like to change vehicle every two or 3 years . They make one generation then keep that for 9-10 years . Exterior , interior , powertrain remains same for all these years with just minor corrections . But if u see most of the other companies they tend to change vehicle look, features etc every 2-3 years which makes vehicle bought in previous 2-3 years less desirable . Bcz u can get new vehicle with more features and options with same new price and older vehicle tend to depreciate lot .
