Once again, no sliding rear window. I know people in past posts were saying that this is because they are preproduction models, but the more vehicles we see with this makes me scratch my head. Also, I can’t wait to get some pictures of a TRD Off Road long boi 🤪

Wonder if they are going from making it standard to part of an option package?

The th model in Hawaiian debut showcased an electric side slider. Not the whole window, but at least a squarish pass thru. I'm pretty sure tfl covered it.

It simply isn't the premium trim. Needs the 33s and an ARB rear bumper though. Dig the sliders.

Has that been confirmed as thing? The '24 Tacoma page only calls out LWB for SR5 and TH, IIRC.
At least for the Canadian market, the gas model OR is available with a 6' bed, but only with manual trans and no options. Not sure what the hybrid packages will be.

Is a sliding rear window really that important? Yes, I get it to some degree, I grew up when they were important--because there were no extended cabs, kids and dogs rode in the bed, and you wanted to talk sometimes without leaning out over the edge while driving down the road. Also helped if you had a camper, with people riding in the back. Furthermore you could easily reach it. Not sure I care if there is a sliding rear window or not nowadays.

I've had trucks all my life, not one with an electric rear window. No big deal to me I have a cap on mine anyway for my dogs. I've got a slider now never use it. My cap has a slider too. Too much noise in the cabin for me. To each his own.

I prefer the solid window over the pass through.... but I guess some people need it for something

I don't need one, but it can be nice for airflow when driving with the windows down or the sunroof open, if you have one. Not something I need or would seek out, but I might use it if I had it.
