Thanks for the write up and all the time and research that went into figuring it out. I just completed installing my TowPro controller and came up with a few ways to save some cost and simplify the installation. Take a look at the attached document and perhaps you might want to update yours. Otherwise for all, here are my suggestions.

Great find on that blew wire! I had a feeling that was it but I didn't have the right tool or a friend at the time that could help me check continuity on that wire.

If you have a blue wire in the position on the 7-pin harness in the back, it does go inside the cab under the passenger side back seat. So no need for running a new one like I did.

It seems the signal wire could be traced to up front somewhere and eliminate the need to cut into the harness.

Someone on this forum suggets you can find a connector in the dash for the connector to the ECU.

Then another link below for a signal wire behind the cab before the bed:

And there's a couple other wiring diagrams on there that someone found digging into the schematics that might make this a lot easier if you can find a way to wire in a pigtail. Then you don't have to cut any harness.

The 2024 wiring is completely different. The easy plug under the dash is no longer there. I suspect it is because of the all led lighting and all the other bells and whistles like adaptive cruise control. I went back and forth with Redarc when trying to install mine. They were not aware of the changes and said they planned to send someone to the US to look at the new trucks (they are in Australia). Not sure if they have new instructions posted but they did update the website to say their harness was for only up to 2023.

I'm not comfortable at my skill level and competency to be tapping into any wiring harness. The first time that somebody makes a plug-in system it has decent install instructions, they can take my money.

I suspect it will just be a matter of time. I would guess the new 4 Runner and Tacoma will be very similar.
