Im at 7,000 miles. I was going to purchase the 3rd gen because of the cost but I’m glad I bought the 4th gen. The truck is fun to drive both on and off road. I have had no problems. It’s crazy cool that they made a 4 cylinder turbo with this much torque and horsepower. There was no hate when Toyota trucks were 4 bangers from years past and this engine is so much more.

Hello everybody

For those who own a 2024 Tacoma how has it ran so far ?
A little over 6000K miles on my Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport 4X4. Mostly Florida miles but three trips to NC without any issues.
Mine is reportedly one of the "Transmission Tech. Service Bulletin" Tacoma's but I have not experienced any related symptoms or problems.
My first oil change was at 5000K miles.
I drove two F-150's for over 20 years and absolutely love my Taco!

7K miles with no problems. My truck is within the trans SB range but mine shifts great so far.

A weird body squeak that I can't find or troubleshoot started about 4000 miles.

Hard shifting in and out of 3rd gear. All other gears are just fine.

Bed rails plastic cover peeling up.

"Other than that, still love the truck" to borrow some copium from Cybertruck forums.

I'm currently at 7,000km and have had no Issues. 6 speed manual. Had the truck since June. Drove it to Virginia and back. (From Montreal). Loving the truck. Did an oil change at 5,000km. (I don't like long intervals, especially Turbo engines.) No regrets, and hopefully will have none.

10k with no issues even though I'm in the TSB range. Have had to replace the grille shutter and grille due to ice being thrown into it and shattering them both.

Only complaint I have is the damn 3M double sided tape that holds the ultrasonic sensors in is shit and I've had to epoxy a couple of those in.

1300 miles on my Off Road and no problems. Had a couple rattles. The center JBL dash speaker but I put sticky back felt tape on it and what I thought was a rattle in the RF door. That one was hard to find, had the pitch of a mosquito flying near your ear. It was the outside mirror. When I hit the door panel it made noise until I gently pushed in on the glass mirror, weird.

MPG is getting better too. I work very close to home 3 miles away was getting about 14-15. Then finally hit a road trip 650 miles where it got 20-21 doing 70-75 mph. Now I'm home and it seems to be around the 17mpg range.

I had a rattle develop. One night after work spent an hour and a half looking, listening, test driving.
It was Oakley’s rattling in the sunglasses holder, 😂. Put them in their bag and back in holder no rattle.
So yes still love it, just want someone to figure out a trailer brake. Just rolled over 7000 km today.

12K Miles and so far no major issues. One of my sensors fell in and I had to epoxy it. I could've taken it in, but they would've just retaped it. I did have an annoying rattle, but it turned out to be one of the rear seat belts. There are clips on the c pillar to hold them in place. Truck has run like a dream and I'm well within the TSB range. Best vehicle I've ever had. So much fun to drive on and off-road.
