Think it’s 15 liters or 4 gallons left when it hits zero.

Here are some better numbers. I used EPA estimates and I know not all vehicles meet them, but it is a fair comparison. I used the numbers for my 5.7L Tundra, a 4x4 non-hybrid and an i-FORCE MAX.

Tundra(5.7l): 26.4 gallons, 13/14/17 = 370 miles combined, 448.8 miles highway
Taco 4x4: 18.2 gallons, 18/20/23, 364 miles combined, 418 highway
Taco hybrid: 18.2 gallons, 22/23/24 = 418 miles combined, 436.8 highway

So it seems like the range is less of a problem than the poor miles remaining estimates. It really helps to hear what real owners are finding as far as fuel left when the truck is sure it is empty.

Filled up my Trailhunter for the first time yesterday. I'd gone from the low fuel warning and the idiot light to the Refuel warning and 0 miles left. I have an 18.2 gallon tank. I put in 16 gallons so I still had 2.2 gallons left in reserve.

The 4th gen distance to empty seems more accurate than the 3rd gen, that's for sure. Both of them leave 2-3 gallons in the tank it seems like. Could be for fuel pump cooling, or could be to save people from themselves? I dunno. I try not to run on E every time.

When my range reaches zero there is still approximately 4 gallons remaining. Very very conservative. Crazy Toyota and their 18 gallon tank
Low fuel lights stress me out. Big time. I never used to get stressed about it until I started doing remote motorcycle trips where fuel is a big deal and you can literally die. I guess the thing to do is throw a jerry can in the back of the truck and just drive it until it quits. The Toyota roadside assistance will give you something like 3 gallons of gas once a month for free.
