I have been a big believer of using a catch can on all my cars since my 2015 Rubicon - always am surprised at the amount of oil it keeps out of the throttle body and manifold - sometimes an inch or more between oil changes

Burger Motorsports has one for the '24. Nice quality, a tad expensive and a really simple install

Cheap way to help keep internals clean. I need to quit dragging my feet an order one!

Edit: ordered thanks for the reminder!

It's my understanding that catch-cans benefit engines with port injectors since they don't clean the valves. Our new trucks have both port and direct injectors, and so each squirt of fuel cleans the valves.

Or am I wrong?

I've never heard of this. Is it a do it yourselfer project? I change my own oil, but that's about as mechanical as I get with a vehicle.

When they are naturally aspirated yes. Boosted engines regardless will benefit.

Even though our trucks have

At 2:15, this guy says Toyota will not warranty an engine with an aftermarket catch can.

Yes, it is true - any manufacture will void
To my understanding - the only way this would cause an engine to fail is if there is moisture (would have to be a ton) in the can that would cause freezing and blocking the PCV system from working. So, not very likely...Not a Toyota of course- but on my 2015 JK I had one and put almost 125K miles before I sold it with zero issues. I live in Colorado with plenty of sub zero days

The install is super easy and if you had to take the truck into the dealership, you can put it back to 100% stock in 5 min and dont know how the dealer would ever have a way of knowing

Same warranty arguments with any aftermarket parts. It is the burden of the manufacturer to prove the part caused a failure. You can easily find countless arguments for or against catch cans. At worst in my opinion if installed properly it will add a little more maintenance. They are definitely not an install and forget about it part.

Can't they just say, "this is the reason for the failure," and that's it? Is there a higher court to appeal their ruling, or what? Especially if theirs a service bulletin out on catch-cans?
