I installed mine a couple of weeks ago. It makes a huge difference.

I could get mine to fit behind the screen until I took the removable speaker and it's dock out, and then it was straightforward. Removing the dock is also super easy.

Yeah - exactly where to place the amp is kind of skipped over in the Beat Sonic install video, and I will just have to figure that out. I had not thought about taking out that removable speaker/dock.

Hope to do mine some day this week when my time opens up a little.

Remove the speaker, and use a trim tool to remove the plastic trim surround. You'll see 4 screws to remove, then the dock just lifts straight out.

Thanks,

2T3 for +JBL.

Out of curiosity: If the 3T3 would be for 2018+ non-JBL then is the T330 a more powerful option for non-JBL 2024+ essentially?

@Josh, Meraki
Do you folks ship to Canada?

3T3 would work as well for the JBL folks. BeatSonic is waiting to install at 3T3 onto my OR premium w/ JBL. They didn't mention it wouldn't work. I believe primary difference is it has a port for a sub connection.

Yes we can ship to Canada.

I have a JBL system and installed the BeatSonic a week ago. I bought it directly from BeatSonic store. I wish I would have known about this thread prior to ordering it direct. Oh well.

I installed and removed a couple of times just to hear the difference, and I can say it is definitely an improvement. I left the gain at 1 o'clock for both front and rear. I think 2 o'clock was a bit much for me. I read somewhere on another forum that the rear gain doesn't to jack, but what the hey. :)

The bass is certainly punchier, and less muddle for the rest of the frequencies. It definitely plays louder at the same volume level prior to the install. I normally listened at 25 volume level stock, but now only about 15 after BeatSonic installed. I actually think it sounds better as you raise the volume, but then the doors' speakers start vibrating. I plan to do some doors' sound deadening once the weather permits.

Off topic, I wouldn't recommend replacing the dash speakers for a coaxial ones, I don't think the JBL system has the right crossover to work with coaxial speakers in the dash. I tried, and it sounded worst than stock. I am still debating whether or not I want to replace it with one way speakers for the dash. Most 3.5" and 4" speakers on the market are all coaxial, not much options for one way unfortunately.

Also, if you find that you lost sound from all speakers after the install, take out the head unit and reinsert all the plugs. Make sure they are all snugged. Do not pull the connectors from the wires, always from the plugs. I lost sleep because of this, even go as far as ripping my seat out to check on the JBL amp that sits right under the driver seat. I still don't know which plug(s) is the culprit.

Anyway, back on topic. Honestly I think $300 is a bit much, but we do not have a lot of options for plug and play. Overall I am happy with it and from what I gather, it is an easy return if you are not happy with it, as long as it is within 30 days for a full refund.

Following as I have the JBL but wanted to add an external amp for a sub in addition to the factory setup w/BeatSonic but thought this wasn’t an option according to BeatSonics website.

I tried the amp back about 2 months ago. Still sounded like crap. Just made the muddy sounding system louder. Can’t distinguish the mids from the highs so the whole system was replaced. Couldn’t see having a crappy sounding system in my Trailhunter
