2024 Tacoma Aggressive Offsets 9B9D7294-D499-43F7-B0E8-A922950AA76E

hey all,
This is my first post here and my first truck I’m customizing. I’m trying to get some new wheels and the most “aggressive” offset I’ve seen people with is the +0. Has anyone ran a a negative offset like this one ? I’m still planning on keeping the standard 265/70/17 stock tires from the trd or at stock height for a while and want to make sure it doesn’t need too much modification before I buy them.

TRD off road factory wheels are +55. Going with -25 offset will move the wheels out 8cm! And the factory wheel is 7.5 inches wide the wheels your looking at are 9.0 wide pushing the wheel further out by 3/4 inch total will be 3.5 inches of additional poke! Also mounting a 265/17 tire on a 9inch wide rim is on the edge of the tire/rim holding the bead?

It’s pretty simple. Offset (+55)+(-25)=80mm or 2.75 inches, + 1/2 of rim width 7.5-9=-1.5 + 2-75 =3.5

The other issue you would have with those wheels is the center bore. As I recall Gen4 Tacomas are hub centric, in other words the wheel centers on the hub, not the lugs. Those wheels are 106.1 which are probably for earlier trucks. The Gen4 hubs I believe are a smaller 95.2 which is one reason why Gen4 wheels won't fit older trucks.

Something else to consider is older trucks used a 12mm lug. The Gen4 trucks are 14mm lugs.

Thank you, be doing this in due time

I didn’t do any math. Just went to the tire shop for chains so I could get over the mountain and wound up with some sweet new shoes. Not a hard sell as I was ready to move to anything other than the stock wheels and tires. Black Rhino Alpha with Mastercraft 265/70R17. Might be basic to the diehards, but good enough for me.

Thank you for the math on poke. I wanted a little bit but I think almost 4 inches might be too much. And as far as the width my thought was that the 265 was wide for the 7.5 inch wheel they come with and might wear too much in the center at 30 psi so wanted to go slightly wider to lengthen the life of the tires.

Thank you for the information. I wasn’t aware they changed the hub size compared to previous generations. I’ll probably be looking at some other wheels.

I'm not sure if it was here or another forum, but they do make a spacer that might work. Your wheel shop should know about this.

With that much tire outside the wheel wells you should probably plan for protecting your paint.
