Anyone else experience the RPMs dip from a stop once you hit about 2200 RPM? It will hit the RPM and then drop just a bit and then continue gaining revs. I wish it was a bit more linear in its power delivery off the jump. Not a big deal by any means but wondering if this is normal operation? I’m assuming they tuned it to stay in the peak torque for as long as possible but who knows.

None of the changes displayed via tachometer and boost gauge are what I'd call rough or inappropriate. The 3 drive modes behave a bit differently where I feel the throttle pedal resistance in Eco mode. In high altitude hard work I noticed boost drop off for very short moments with the gauge but nothing hurting a climb or staying in traffic. The system as a whole obviously has tune/programming/bias to use this engine's high torque at low RPM.

If "off the jump" means playing at stoplights or something like drag racing, I'd be the wrong candidate. I move along but am also a smooth driver who doesn't play games on public roadways.

The drivetrain behavior is definitely different when the scenario is cold and warmup and understandably not as smooth then. That all changes when you see the engine oil and transmission temperature climb to the normal operating range.

Definitely a learning curve for me coming from the V6, this accelerator is quite sensitive and easily gives me more than I want/need from a start and then gives me a lag upon starting after a short stop. It’s around 2200 rpm and the lag seems to be where the transmission doesn’t downshift until I’m pressing the pedal further than I would from a longer stop. The power is great for entering interstate traffic.

This is similar to my experience with the caveat that I feel like I could floor it at 2200 after a California style stop and there’d still be a lag. But agreed regarding entering interstate traffic, it’s really great.

I believe these ares tuned to be “boost by gear”. From a stop i don’t think you’re getting but half the amount of boost in 1st and 2nd gear, as you are once you hit 3rd. Next time you leave from a stop, keep the pedal about 80-90% to the floor and you’ll really tell the difference once 3rd gear hits.
