Lowest Toyota Extended Warranty Prices…?

I always shop around if I feel like buying one. I once got a $3800 Tundra extended warranty price matched to $999 in Toyota of Las Vegas. I matched it with Wyatt Johnson of Clarksville Tennessee. That was 7 years ago. What’s the scoop lately? What dealerships have the deals?

For those that don’t know, you can buy the extended warranty from any authorized Toyota dealership instead of getting bent over by the finance guy at yours.

My truck finally came in on March 23rd at Lithia Toyota of Klamath Falls. When the topic of extended warranties came up I mentioned to them that I would be able to purchase an extended warranty for near cost through Jerry Johnson at Midwest Toyota. He immediately turned his screen and said what type of warranty are you thinking. I will sell you one for $60 over my cost. The 10 year/100,000 mile Platinum Warranty had a retail price of $4,845 with his cost listed as $1,540, so I got the warranty for $1,600. Maybe not the best deal out there but I was happy with it. No deductible if I take it to a Lithia Toyota and $100 deductible if I take it to any other dealer. I am glad I got the warranty as I am unsure what is going to possibly occur with all the electronics in this thing, but I will say repairs/parts for this truck are not going to be cheap as I found out this past week. The first time I turned on my headlights last week the right headlight did not activate and I received a "Headlight System Malfunction-Visit Your Dealer" alert on the truck. It turned out a pin was loose on the connector inside of the headlight assembly which shorted out the bulb so the entire headlight assembly needed to be replaced which was an $1,800 fix.....$1,100 for the headlight assembly itself plus 2.5 hours of labor. Of course it was covered by the normal warranty, but just shows how costly it could be to repair this truck in the future.

I got 7 Years/100k miles Platinum warranty from my Toyota Dealer for $1700.00. That was a Toyota warranty, not a 3rd party. I can take it to any Toyota dealer and it will be in their system and fixed

Not sure I got the lowest price… But the retail price for 10 year 125 was $4100. Dealer offered five other extras that were given at cost. Brought the base warranty of 10 years 1 25,000 miles to 2500 and added for the same 4100: paint protection, dent protection, Cloth protection, wheel protection, and at least a couple others. I can’t remember right now. Overall I’m satisfied because I know things will go wrong and I will be happy to cash in on those additional warranties down the road.

Thanks! Yes, those are the TRD 18-in Black Wheels. I was fortunate to find a truck that had most everything I was looking for and nothing added that I didn't want which is why I traveled 400 miles from California to Oregon to get it all thanks to the help of the allocation sheet available on the forums. It is the base TRD Sport 4x4 with add-ons of the upgraded 14 in touchscreen, heated seats, black emblem overlays, black tailgate letters, the TRD wheels, predator tube steps, and a bed step. The exterior of the truck is Blue Crush Metallic with black accents and wheels...no chrome anywhere. The only thing I wanted and was not able to obtain was a tonneau cover and mud guards, which I will purchase as soon as they are available. I was able to get the truck for slightly under MSRP ($48, 139 instead of the $48,210 it was stickered at when it arrived) because the agreed upon MRSP price was lower than when it arrived as Toyota raised the price of the black emblem overlays by $71 from the original quote. The dealership was generous enough to honor our original price.

That is my exact plan, except the factory didn't quite agree with it, so I have to get the dealer to put the TRD wheels on once it's delivered. It's going to cost me a little labor but I'd need to have someone mount the new tires I bought anyway. Still working on trying to figure out how to offload the stock wheels and tires. Of course, this is all hypothetical right now since last update I got, the truck was waiting for its boat ride!

I got the same quote from Troy! I do not see anyone beating this price for a platinum. Thanks again for the tip.
