Price update due to additional options added by the distributor? Or price update because the dealer added markup?Just got an email this morning about my truck. I THINK it’s because I looked it up on the Toyota site - not because I’m working with my dealer on this particular truck. However, the email was to inform me of “a price update on the truck”.
They raised it to $71,259. If the dealer pulls the same shit, I’m walking.

Yikes that’s a hell of a price hike. That’s nicely appointed full size territory.Just got an email this morning about my truck. Not sure where you are, but Valley Hi Toyota in Victorville sell at MSRP. As a couple of days ago, they had a TRD Pro in Terra that was available to reserve. I got an out the door price just over $72K for it.Yikes that’s a hell of a price hike. That’s nicely appointed full size territory.
godspeed in your hunt! And hell yeah to walking away from crazy markups and unnecessary dealer options. If enough of us say no it makes a difference. Sure someone will buy the very first marked up ones cus they have the money and don’t care and want to be first (or they’re just really fiscally irresponsible lol) but I think/hope that will settle down after a couple months when the first wave has been pushed out.
I was talking about this with the sales rep yesterday too. They didn’t have any halo allocations yet cus they’re a smaller dealer, and he was thinking a lot of dealers would be trying to pull a fast one on customers through the summer for that initial wave of hybrid models just based on what he was seeing from his end from the non-msrp only dealers. Which…. Ugh. But it’s not a plot twist or anything. For my part I’m willing to wait a bit for things to cool off so I don’t mind.
Nice!! Have fun with your new rig!Not sure where you are, but Valley Hi Toyota in Victorville sell at MSRP. As a couple of days ago, they had a TRD Pro in Terra that was available to reserve. I got an out the door price just over $72K for it.
Toyota of Oly apparently has a 5' bed TH on the way. It's strange how the PNW has almost nothing showing on the locator. Like 10 trucks ... all TRD Offroad and pretty much all IceCap.
Then I look at other areas (like Phoenix) and there's like 100 trucks with a bunch of Trailhunters and TRD Pros. What gives??
P.S - Does anyone know when / how frequently Toyota updates the locator?
Nice! Looks like a handful of TRD Pros are allocated up here now, so good to see a TH pop up close by.Toyota of Oly apparently has a 5' bed TH on the way.
Where have you seen that? I've asked every dealer about a Pro and get told "nothing yet"Nice! Looks like a handful of TRD Pros are allocated up here now, so good to see a TH pop up close by.
I'm pretty much all in on a 6 ft bed Trailhunter in Bronze Oxide. If I'm gonna spend that kind of $$$, I'm waiting for exactly what I want
I've been checking the Toyota Inventory Locator tool. Seems to update with a few more hybrids each day. https://www.toyota.com/search-inventory/Where have you seen that? I've asked every dealer about a Pro and get told "nothing yet"
That's wild. I looked yesterday and none of that popped up. Today a BUNCH of TH and Pros popped up. I must have needed to refresh the browser. HahaI've been checking the Toyota Inventory Locator tool. Seems to update with a few more hybrids each day. https://www.toyota.com/search-inventory/
