Picked it up Friday.

Likes
- Most things
- Immediate power / torque
- Camera systems
- Seat comfort

Dislikes
- Felt "skid" plate
- Chrome wheels (they're actually very nice but im not into chrome wheels)
- Rear seat not designed to flip up to load larger items in back. If you remove the trim clips and lift the seat, there is no cover over the battery and electronics. I can build something but shouldn't have.

Things a Limited should have but are missing
- Adaptive headlights
- Rain sensing wipers
- Driver seat position memory
- Power folding mirrors

Problems
- Thin paint. It takes a very light touch with a plastic part to chip the paint. Shameful skimpy cost cutting.

- Ride is less harsh
- No noticeable loss of handling on highway/city
- Slight increase road noise at highway speed.

I think these chrome Limited wheels look good dipped in black.

"Limited" badges easily removed with some heat and 3M adhesive remover. I suspect goo gone would work too.

Lost the snow plow before it gets torn off.

Nice. Blacked out wheels do look good with that color. Our Blue Crush Limited wears the chrome pretty well. I, too, didn't care much for chrome, but the blue/chrome combo is growing on me. Not as bad as I thought. The chrome side view mirror covers are still too much, IMHO. Ordered color-matched to replace these.

Man, that looks so much better. Congrats.

Are you thinking of replacing the chrome grill as well? The wheels came out great. What did you use to dip them?

shouldn't the back seats fold down in the hybrids versus bench folding up? Or maybe the standard tacos do both on both 60/40 sections? There's a good number of hybrids on the ground...where's the deep dive on the back bench?

I dont mind the grill.
I might color match the mirrors like diablo mentioned.

Wheels are 5 coats of black plastidip with one coat of glossifier. I dont really want glossy but i figured it might cleanup easier.

Rear seats fold down but to get something tall in the back, id like to fold them up. I can post some pics later.

Of couse underseat storage is gone.

Where did you order color matched mirror caps? The Toyota parts website list two different part numbers and while the paint code is correct, they call the color by a different name. Could you list the part number if purchased through Toyota?
Thanks

Sure. The correct part numbers are:

Right: 87915-AK030-xx
Left: 87945-AK030-xx

where "xx" is the paint code for your color. In my case, Crush Blue is "J0". I don't know a good way to lookup paint colors other than randomly clicking the list and finding one that matches your paint. Also, the "AK030" is the version of the cover that has the cutout for the turn signal lights in the mirror. Versions without the cutout are "AK020". Good luck.

Timely post for me. My Limited Hybrid won't be isn't even being built until until Aug 20ish. I don't mind the chrome but it's a bit much on this truck. I've been thinking about ways to mute it a bit. I've been thinking about some "V" shaped vinyl applique for the rims to help breakup the solid chrome look. But looking at your results I may just mask them off and spray them instead. Same goes for the grill. Behold my poor quality Photoshop skills:
