I have a 4th gen TRD sport, I accidentally ordered 18” wheels with a +40 offset, I’m thinking about returning for a +35 offset. Would +40 still work without rubbing ?

I believe the stock wheels are +55, if that is the case then I think +40 would work. I went with +25 but dropped down to a 17" wheel and it is just about perfect in terms of poke.

Okay I might just drop down in wheel size I’m already putting tires on the 18” stock wheels though.

Depends what your plans are for the truck. I plan to hit a lot of trails and rough roads to get to remote campsites so I wanted the extra sidewall off road. If you are going to be mainly on the street or even just mild off roading I think an 18" would be perfectly fine.

I ordered +35s, with 285/75(or 70)/17s they apparently have about a 1 inch poke, and almost the perfect fitment if you're not looking to be aggressive on the poke.

I haven't received them yet as they're on a bit of a back order, about 3 ish weeks.

This is the poke on +25, the tread sits about flush with the fender and the sidewall sticks out a little bit past the fender. +35 will sit a little further in than this and +40 will probably have the entire tire under the fender.

285/75/17 with +25 offset. The tread is to the end of the fender flares, sidewall pokes out a bit.

I chose this offset because I felt it provided the perfect tire “poke” while still providing paint protection from dirt/stones.

Can you post a side shot please. I have an OR and want to go this size/offset with a Westcott lift.

Request granted. This is with a Westcott Designs collar lift installed.
