Guessing it has more to do with the cab size than the trim. That is a significant difference in production and so it makes sense they would take longer to get it up and running.
I totally agree. The Tacoma hits so many sweet spots on size, but I just wish the back seat had another inch or two and was slightly more comfy. If you jump to the Tundra it is just WAY more size than needed.
That said though, I'm six foot even. I sat in one and positioned my seat then moved to...
Also, hybrids are just now making their way to dealers slowly. We won't see prices for those drop AT ALL until the demand for those works off. It will, it will just take time. Be patient guys. I'm confident the lower price opportunities are coming.
Yes, top end trims are having no trouble selling. However top end trims are also very low production right now. Even the non-hybrid models like the Limited and TRD OR. The low end models are very much sitting on lots. It might just be that they are selling slower though. People forget on-site...
I agree with all this as well. Very good summary. The vehicles that are "sitting on lots" are almost exclusively the lower trims. I would also say that high trims have not been prioritized in production so far. Possibly because of parts issues. Who knows. So much reason to wait to buy if you can...
I definitely don't think they will lower the official MSRP. That would be going backwards for them. However, demand will drive they price you can get from dealers. As the dealer's sales go down they will increase incentives. That is why the Tundra is currently at 0% interest despite high...
I checked on one at the dealership this morning on my way into work. Yes you can spin it around, but then it is so far back that you might as well be removing it. I don't want to do that for safety reasons.
After raising it up all the way it was not as bad tough. I still wish the angle was...
Full size trucks do not get better MPG towing. That is a myth. Yes, you will get better range, but the Tacoma should not be that bad. Keep the speed reasonable and you will probably get around 200 miles.
I didn't think the stout was an EV. Hard to say though as everything is just rumor. I was talking about the mid-size EV concept they showed off in 2021. I actually went back and looked at it today and crazy thing is it is PERFECT match for the 4th gen Tacoma. This is 2 years before they...
Go watch the TFL youtube videos of the Tacoma towing. They will put your mind at ease. The biggest thing they do is the Ike Gauntlet which is way harder than anything you will ever put it through. They compared it to a Colorado. In the vid they did not mention this, but watching it you can see...
Not really prepared to buy until late this year at the earliest. Probably first half of next year more likely. Plus, I'm hoping the 2025 brings a few welcome changes. Specifically memory seats as that is currently a deal breaker for me.
I would not be surprised if they also manufacture the eventual EV pickup there. A quick google search suggests that they are preparing EV production for Kentucky so it could be there as well.
Anyone else feel like the head rest leans forward too far? Sitting in it I feel like my head is being pushed forward. Near as I can tell it isn't adjustable like it is on my current daily driver (Forester). Maybe raising it up will help this, I have not tried that yet when sitting in one at my...
Not sure why no one has done this yet, but the Hybrid owner's manual has been out for some time now. It is a little confusing, but this appears to be the requirements for the power outlets to be active:
The Hybrid System is running
The parking brake is set
The "AC 120V" button to the left of...
Did you just rewire the rear view mirror camera or the bed camera too? I was thinking with a topper the bed camera would still be usable. Was it blocked?
