There is actually a huge list of things you can control. You can find the full details here for 2024 models, but a few are:
Guest controls/alerts
Status Alerts - Unlocked, Open doors, windows, hood, ect.
Remote Controls
Start/Stop
Lock/Unlock
Climate, Seat heat/ventilation, Steering wheel...
Those are additional packages. They both include remote connect which is the remote access/start app.
Music Lover = music streaming
Go Anywhere = navigation related servies
Premium = everything
Remote connect is seperate and is not being mentioned on the site. Likely to confuse people into...
LOL! Yep. That was huge plus for me when I got the vehicle.
Honestly it is making me wonder why the hood has to be so tall. Is there a mechanical motivating factor driving this in the truck industry or is really marketing aesthetics?
I remember seeing a story on this several years back and I had thought (was hoping) that Toyota had back tracked on it. Sad.

I understand charging a fee for a service that requires a mobile...
DAMN!!! I get the feeling a recall is coming. So this was the rear differential I'm guessing since you drive a TRD sport this was the non-locking kind. This is interesting because TFL's Tacoma had to get its front differential replaced. Hopefully they get these issues figured out quick.
I have not tried them myself, but I thought they were supposed to reduce wind noise. Also, they allow you to crack the windows without worrying about if it is going to rain.
So I currently drive a 2022 Forester. It has been great, but I've recently been looking a lot into the Tacoma and 4Runner. This morning on the way to work I stopped at the Toyota dealership and sat in a 2024 Tacoma. The thing that most stood out to me was how bad the visibility was compared to...
Question for those that have done this. Is the fake engine noise tied to the ANC? I hope not. I want it as quiet as possible. Ditch the engine noise and keep the noise canceling.
I know that we are still pretty early in the 2024 models getting out to dealerships and buyers, but I've been thinking about what the 2025 might bring and thought it would be fun to chat about. Also, maybe someone at Toyota sees this.
I'm throwing a lot out with my thoughts and I know many will...
This first year of the new Tacoma has been very rough. I hope that is also why it seems like it is missing several features/options (no nightshade edition, no memory seats, no rear vents, ect). With that, I hope that the 2025 gets several additions that they would have like to have on the 2024.
The main reason turbos are considered unreliable is because they are traditionally an aftermarket addition. This causes much more power to be generated than the rest of the engine and drivetrain were designed for. Thus things break.
When it is designed for that power by good engineers it should...
Near as I can tell the build page for the non-hybrid limited is screwed up and missing several options. The hybrid limited build does have it as an option.
Stupid question, but just want to be clear. Everyone commenting here does have "Adaptive Variable Suspension" on their limited correct? It was an option and was not standard.
Custom drive mode is only applicable if you have that option according to the manual.
While part time 4WD might not offer much value if you never have a need for it, we are starting to get full time 4WD options. Though only on the limited hybrid for now. I'm actually planning to target either a Tacoma or 4Runner that has FT 4WD for the on-road safety.
The only real difference...
Not really sure what I will do if I go with a limited. DIY to black out rims is probably not the best thing to try. There will probably be a lot of people replacing their TRD wheels and tires so I might be able to pick some up off Facebook Marketplace for semi-cheap. Then I can do the same...
$1325 is INSANE!!! I would honestly be surprised if it cost them much extra vs the stock wheels. I hate how black out packages are held ransom for insane prices. I think I'm just going to say screw it on the black out and do it myself.
