  1. Possible Phone Holder Solution for 2025 Tacoma 4th gens

What is the problem with the wireless charger location? Is it a bad angle? I can understand people wanting it in a better position to view, but some of these solutions from people are not moving it that far from the existing placement.
  2. Hybrid 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro – Real World MPG HIghway Fuel Economy + Range Test @ 70 MPH

For those with experience on "turbo lag" (or lack there off), what about from a complete stop? That is where I notice it the most with our Subaru Ascent. Given that also has a CVT so it has multiple things working against it. It is VERY frustrating to be trying to merge into traffic, put the...
  3. Ironman 4x4 Development Week! - New 4th Gen Suspension, Bumper, Skids,

I realize you can't know for sure until it can be observed up close, but is it thought the suspension work will mostly transition to the 4Runner? For this new generation it seems that the two might be even more similar with the Tacoma moving away from leaf springs in most models.
  4. Got 30.4 MPG on my 2024 Tacoma (non-hybrid)

This is very encouraging. Basically it seems like I won't see to much of a drop of from my Forester Wilderness. I get around 27 mpg average if I switch the CVT to manual mode and force it to the top gear ratio. Otherwise I get around 25.5 mpg. Considering what I've seen here and other places...
  5. Video: Multi-Terrain Monitor views are useful for city streets too

So I'm sorry to be a buzzkill, but nowhere in this video do you actually use the "Multi-terrain monitor". You were just using the standard Panoramic View Monitor that is present on the limited trim too. MTM is that button/switch on the far right that takes you into different view options and...
  6. 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro 4th Gen – 10-speaker JBL Sound System Review

That is kind of what I was thinking as reading this. The Tacoma just doesn't have a lot of interior space for the subwolfer. It will be interesting to see how that all differs with the 4Runner since it will have the sub in the back cargo area.
  7. 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro 4th Gen – 10-speaker JBL Sound System Review

Most vehicle "Premium" sound systems focus more on slapping a punch name on it than actually having good audio performance. It is nice to hear some of the things that have been mentioned about the care taken with this sounds system.
  8. All Weather Floor Mats options?

So would that be changed for the clutch pedal? I would probably just buy the tuxmat and cut it out myself.
  9. Pricing: Can we please get over it or move on? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

@2ndGen2TrlHntr You are 100% right here! Yes, the Trailhunter and TRD Pro cost way more than what a TRD Pro has been costing, but it is also DOING way more (and has way more money invested in it) than a TRD Pro traditionally has. This all makes sense if people understand Toyota's motivation...
  10. 💰 MSRP Pricing (U.S. / Canada) & MPG for Hybrid 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro, Trailhunter, TRD Off-Road, TRD Sport, Limited!

I noticed that. Very annoying that they let you get a 6' bed in the OR non-hybrid, but not in the hybrid model.
  11. 💰 MSRP Pricing (U.S. / Canada) & MPG for Hybrid 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro, Trailhunter, TRD Off-Road, TRD Sport, Limited!

If Toyota is posting it these are the official EPA numbers. Car companies don't just put out their own estimates. They only claim official EPA numbers. I'm not even sure if it is legal for them to do otherwise. The terminology of "EPA Estimate" is used for all EPA MPG numbers. It is just...
  12. Credit Card Key comes with 2024 TRD Off-Road?

Well Car fobs use pretty low frequencies. 315MHz (in the US) to be specific. I would expect your faraday bag is designed for cell phones which don't go bellow the 600MHz. Not sure that should be enough of a difference to matter, but something to consider.
  13. Credit Card Key comes with 2024 TRD Off-Road?

Anyone know if an RFID blocking wallet will block the credit card key? I'm hoping the frequencies are different enough that it won't.
  14. 💰 MSRP Pricing (U.S. / Canada) & MPG for Hybrid 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro, Trailhunter, TRD Off-Road, TRD Sport, Limited!

Note that I've seen dealers in my area offering 0% interest on new car purchases including Toyota. Not sure how they are doing it though. Here's one of my local dealers that advertises it on the front page. 0% for 36 months.
  15. 💰 MSRP Pricing (U.S. / Canada) & MPG for Hybrid 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro, Trailhunter, TRD Off-Road, TRD Sport, Limited!

I completely agree. The hybrid is amazing in a lot of ways. My point is simply for people to calculate their own numbers so expectations are right on MPG savings. Very few will have enough value to get it just because of MPG savings. It is there as an upgraded engine option. Basically what used...
  16. 💰 MSRP Pricing (U.S. / Canada) & MPG for Hybrid 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro, Trailhunter, TRD Off-Road, TRD Sport, Limited!

Power is not the limiting factor on either Payload or towing. Also, if you are getting a truck for hauling and towing and are concerned about the limits I'm curious why you are looking at a mid-size? I would think most buying a mid-size are rarely if ever going to be pushing up against the...
  17. 💰 MSRP Pricing (U.S. / Canada) & MPG for Hybrid 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro, Trailhunter, TRD Off-Road, TRD Sport, Limited!

This is probably something you already know. However, for those that are not aware (or as a reminder), be careful buying a hybrid thinking you are going to save money on gas. In most circumstances the mat doesn't support it. Here's an example. Let's use the combined MPG number, assume $4/gallon...
  18. 💰 MSRP Pricing (U.S. / Canada) & MPG for Hybrid 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro, Trailhunter, TRD Off-Road, TRD Sport, Limited!

So I'm guessing the hybrid trims have more standard features than the non-hybrid trims do. At least for the TRD Sport and Off-Road. I'm curious what the cost of the hybrid is if you factor that all in. Probably the difference you see with the limited which is $3,700. We will need to dig in and...
  19. All Weather Floor Mats options?

I've owned both Weathertech and Tuxmat. In my opinion, Tuxmat DESTROYS the Weathertech. WAY better. Weathertech doesn't really hold it's shape and the Tuxmat has WAY better coverage. Super easy to clean too.
