were some of you really waiting months expecting 30?

23 combined at that torque number is fantastic

How are the upper trims the same though? 23 with a lift, 33s and the extra weight is even more impressive.

If the upper trims with lift and 33 actually were that high mpg, that would be super impressive. My wildest dreams were high 20s pushing 30 for hybrid limited, and low to mid 20s for hybrid trail and pro. The fact that they're claiming the same for all hybrids is clear that they're bs'ing. Wait for official epa numbers. If limited hybrid is only getting 24 hwy, trail and pro will be lucky to get 20. But they might still get 22 in city. Not that anybody should be getting a trail or pro just to mostly drive it around town . . .

Well I'm an ass, the spec sheet asterisk claims it is epa estimate. Don't know how that's possible. We'll see what epa puts on their site. Maybe there's a typo on this. I hope not . . .

Note that I've seen dealers in my area offering 0% interest on new car purchases including Toyota. Not sure how they are doing it though. Here's one of my local dealers that advertises it on the front page. 0% for 36 months.

My local dealers have similar promotions running, just nothing for the new Tacoma, yet. I’m hoping that will change later this year, as inventory increases.

Really debating now if I should just go buy a tundra hybrid for same cost. Wow toyota

when i was in the market for a new tundra trd pro 2022, just about 2 years ago, the msrp on release was 68,680. So keep that in mind with a taco trd pro priced msrp at 65,395. Thats about 3300 dollar difference between the trims.

Man I've been thinking no-freaking-way on the top trims, but I don't know now with all that standard stuff on >OR. The OR I have specced is about $55k, but the TH for $8k more with all its doodads is compelling...and now I've rationalized my way from a $30k truck to $63k. Maybe if I move back in with my parents.

I was hoping for a TRD OR with the 6' bed, in the hybrid. But to get that have to go to the Trailhunter for over $10k more (+markups)? You know that Toyota will watch the inventory and only make just enough to keep prices high. I guess I'll have to keep with a Non-Hybrid. And Payload... I know it has always been a thing with Toyotas , I see why for the $$ going to a Tundra makes more sense.

Lol wow. In Ontario dealers can’t even sell the non hybrid models. Good luck selling with these ridiculous prices, Toyota.

Genius pricing by Toyota. Lets just push up the Tacoma price to near Tundra prices and let get some buyers to buy the overstocked Tundras that dealers have sitting on lots.

Also all this fancy new tech/turbos and the Toyota service dept. is licking their chops right now.

I'd take a PRO without the fancy seats and lower the MSRP to $60k or lower. That would sell like crazy.

Anyone know what the invoice price is on a TH or PRO trim?

If Toyota is posting it these are the official EPA numbers. Car companies don't just put out their own estimates. They only claim official EPA numbers. I'm not even sure if it is legal for them to do otherwise.

The terminology of "EPA Estimate" is used for all EPA MPG numbers. It is just because individual MPG varies wildly based on individual driving habits.

I noticed that. Very annoying that they let you get a 6' bed in the OR non-hybrid, but not in the hybrid model.

The market will correct the overpricing (I believe the trucks are indeed overpriced). Give it 6-12 months. Do not understand for the life of me WTH they stuck those dumb seats in the Pro. Will cost sales. Ditto snorkel on the TH.
