Oh man, those distributor installed options are brutal. I'm waiting for a hybrid, so I'm hoping my dealer can show me a copy of a bill of sale for a gas model in the near future so I can see what I'm up against on distributor and dealer options. Maybe I can avoid them if I know what to expect.
It seems like nearly all of the OR's delivered so far have the predator steps installed. Kind of funny considering most people actually off-roading them would probably remove those for more clearance haha. They look great, but I'm hoping mine doesn't have them. Supposedly the Canadian ones just...
Thanks for joining the forum! I've seen a few people on here already asking about why your truck appeared to be missing the Auto Start/Stop button (next to the diff lock). Are you able to clarify if your truck has start/stop? Thanks!
Doug's perception is skewed. He drives a Carrera GT. He's not going to get into any truck and say "wow this thing really pulls hard" or "the handling on this is fantastic!" He usually drives quirky cars; seldom drives trucks.
The rear brakes are larger on the hybrids as well. Not sure if they're changing out springs or not? But I think TFL's TRD Sport only has 1200lbs payload and I think the TH is supposed to be around 1600lbs, so if that's true, they're definitely increasing the GVWR by more than enough to cover the...
Not sure what the US will offer, but in Canada, the only option for the hybrid Off Road is the Premium package. You can't get base options with hybrid. As such, you are still paying for the Softex, heated steering wheel, etc etc. But I value those things so that's the one I'm getting anyway.
And...
Maybe Toyota has done a good job with their app, but on my wife's BMW, the digital key is not very reliable. If it works as it's supposed to, it will unlock as you approach and you can get in and drive as long as your phone is on you. But sometimes it doesn't work and you have to open the app to...
That looks identical (other than the logo) to my 11 year old Lexus lol. I don't use mine much because I don't expect it's as durable as the regular fob, but in the event you're wearing a suit or something, it's nice to have a low profile option to slip into your jacket pocket.
The Canadian hybrid packages have been released and the only hybrid 6' bed is the Trailhunter (as an option). That said, the US may have more configurations available.
I would think the fuel mileage would be calculated based on the injector duty cycle rather than the tank level, in which case it would be unaffected by the size of tank.
Those are not the hybrid values. The same Canadian government site does differentiate between the hybrid and non-hybrid Tundras. I think the 2-mode and 3-mode 4x4 it lists are the full-time and part-time systems, but even that's odd because in Canada, we can't get the full-time 4x4 on any...
